Spring Annual Striking Out Domestic Violence
A bowling fundraiser held at Rose Bowl Lanes in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Be a team captain or join a team and raise funds to provide basic needs of shelter, food and clothings for our clients who are hurting and healing from the trauma of domestic abuse and alcohol or drug related addictions.
Striking Out Domestic Violence 2019 Rolls Out a Successful Event.
Shirley's House of Hope, a faith based domestic violence and drug addiction shelter in Marshfield, recently held a successful 11th Annual "Striking Out Domestic Violence" bowling fundraiser. Twenty-One teams competed for prizes based on donations they received from family and friends at Rose Bowl Lanes on Sunday, April 28th.
Over $44,000 was raised by the bowlers and "Restoring Hope" event sponsorships. Gen Bean won the grand prize Dells Wilderness Waterpark Package- two night stay for four. Thank you to every bowler for your participation and fundraising efforts on behalf of Shirley's House of Hope.

Funds from the event are used to provide basic services such as emergency shelter and a healing program services. Shirley's House of Hope is rebuilding, renewing and restoring lives of women and children hurting from domestic violence along with drug and alcohol addiction. Drug and alcohol services were expanded in 2018. The Recovery Center, a transitional housing unit was opened in March. We receive no government funding and 87% of all donations provide direct services. Over 430 women and children have been provided shelter since opening in October 2010.

We are blessed with a number of willing people who do various fundraisers throughout the year and donate the proceeds to Shirley's House of Hope. All proceeds go directly to helping women and children who are hurting from domestic abuse and violence in our Marshfield community.
